Foreign economic activity
Volume of agricultural export of the Autonomous Republic Crimea in January-September 2007g. made 7,2 mln. dollars of the USA, and in comparison with the similar period of last year it was reduced in 3,1 times. Volumes of an import of production increased in 1,7 times and made 13,8 mln. dollars of the USA. The balance of foreign trade in agricultural production developed negative at a rate of 6,6 mln. dollars (in January-September 2006g. the balance was positive – 14,1 mln. dollars).
In the current year the volume of export was reduced by 14,5 mln. dollars. Specific weight of export of grain crops made 43,5 % from total amount of agricultural export. Among grain crops the greatest demand wheat, barley and corn traditionally use. In the current year the buckwheat – 4,5 thousand t on 0,9 mln. dollars (all volume is exported to Israel) was exported also. Export of wheat made 3,8 thousand t on 0,7 mln. dollars (more than 83 % of volume are exported to Tunisia), corn – 2,8 thousand t on 0,5 mln. dollars (it is exported to Turkey), barley – 2,7 thousand t on 0,5 mln. dollars (more than three quarters of total amount are exported to Israel), rice – 1 thousand t on 0,5 mln. dollars (more than 60 % of volume are exported to Belarus and about 40 % – to Azerbaijan).
In structure of agricultural export the share of fruits and seeds (27 %), and also milk and dairy production (17,5 % from total amount of agricultural export) is powerful.
Inflow of investments is necessary for development of agricultural industry. As of 1.10.2007g. the volume of direct foreign investments on the enterprises of agricultural industry, hunting and forestry of the Autonomous Republic Crimea made 9593,1 thousand dollars USA, or 1,5 % of total amount of capital investments. Agricultural enterprises of the Crimea cooperate with businessmen from Iceland, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Turkey, the USA.
Work and salary
Since the beginning of year number of the workers occupied in agricultural industry, slightly was reduced and made 39,8 thousand people. A monthly average salary of the permanent member of staff of the enterprises of agricultural industry of AR Crimea in January – September 2007g. in comparison with the similar period of last year increased almost by a third and made 859 UAH. (on the average across Ukraine – 697 UAH.).
In comparison with the average level of a salary in republic economy (1164 UAH.) compensation of workers of agricultural industry is lower for 26 %, at the same time, growth rate of a salary in branch the highest among main types of economic activity in the region.
As of October 1 2007g. the sum of debt on salary payment to workers of agricultural industry in the republic made 8399 thousand UAH.; in 9 months of this year the debt was reduced by 37 %. The greatest sum of debt is the share of the bankrupt enterprises.
Demographic indicators
Number of rural population of AR Crimea as of January 1 2007g. made 732,3 thousand people, or 37 % of all population. For 2006g. reduction of number of rural population made 3 thousand people, or 44 % of all population decrease.
In 2006g. in the rural zone 8 thousand were born, died – over 11 thousand people, i.e. 10 been born it was the share of everyone 14 died.
The factor of birth rate made 110/00, and mortality index – 150/00 against respectively 10 and 15,5 on the 1000th population in residential locations.
Specific weight of men in a total number of rural population made 47 %, women – 53 %.
In structure of rural population 61 % are the share of a share of persons of able-bodied age, is aged more senior than able-bodied age – 22 %, and is more younger than the able-bodied – 17 % against 14 % in residential locations.
Rural dwellers are younger" than the city. Middle age of rural dwellers made 39 years, men – 36, women – 41 years against respectively 40, 37,5 and 42,5 years in residential locations.
For 2006g. to the rural zone there arrived 13,4 thousand people, left – 13,0 thousand people, or 35 and 37 % of all migrants respectively.

Social sphere
The economic and social processes occurring in the country during the nineties, especially sharply bared problems of social and economic development of the village, and in particular it concerns a network of establishments of a social infrastructure.
In 2005g. bodies of the state statistics conducted continuous survey of 956 rural settlements of AR Crimea as of November 1. According to inspection, in the territory of 569 settlements clubs, recreation centers, 363 preschool institutions, 416 post offices were located. Only in 120 settlements there were film projectors, in 218 – public service enterprises. Among cash objects of the social sphere not all were used for the designated purpose. So, among preschool institutions 55 % of their total number, among film projectors – only every fifth, from among public service enterprises – 32 % to destination worked.
According to administrative data of the Ministry of culture of AR Crimea, in 2006g. in the rural zone 523 mass libraries were, in a year security of the population grew with 71,0 to 71,4 library establishments counting on 100 thousand inhabitants of the village. Security and establishments of club type (75,1 on 100 thousand inhabitants) increased.
Positive shifts are noted on indicators of security of rural children by preschool institutions. If on the end 2005g. 187 preschool institutions worked at the village, following the results of 2006g. preschool education of children was carried out by 203 establishments, the number of places increased in them for 3,6 % and made 20,9 thousand units.
The network of general educational educational institutions on the village also undergoes changes. On the beginning 2007/08 academic years in the rural zone started to work 344 day educational institutions. In comparison with the previous academic year three comprehensive schools I of a step in Krasnoperekopsky, by Leninsk and Saksky areas were closed. At the same time in a number of areas there were reorganizatsionny changes on increase of the general educational status of educational institution ( schools I-III of a step are transformed to teaching and educational complexes).
