The message of the State committee of statistics is published in AR Crimea about that, how many farms in our autonomy.
As of July 1 of this year the quantity of the registered farms in the Crimea made 1946 (for 3,3 % less, than for similar date of last year). Farms are created and function practically in all regions of the Crimea.
As well as in the previous years, the greatest number of farms it is concentrated in Saksky – 350 (18 % of total), Krasnogvardeysky – 272 (14 %), Simferopol – 223 (11 %), Pervomaisk – 192, Soviet – 186 (on 10 %) and Dzhankoysky – 134 (7 %) areas that as a whole makes 70 % of their total.
In possession and using of farms there are 135,3 thousand hectares of lands, including 94,5 thousand hectares are leased.
From total of farmers 1129 - economically active (for 1.07.2006 – 1180), in their using there are 125,8 thousand hectares of lands, including 125,5 thousand hectares of the farmland and 120,2 thousand hectares of an arable land.
