About the village Cuckoo in the area remember as one of the most well-planned settlements which, unfortunately, didn’t avoid a desolation fate. The state farm "Dobrynsky" went out of business, people lost workplaces, and village council – the strong taxpayer, many left the village in job searches.
In recent years peasants began to process the ground shares, generally growing up vegetables. The progressive drop irrigation gradually takes root.
After regular elections the village council was headed by Valentina Nikitichn Bogdanova. This strong-willed vigorous woman for the short period of work could define the main priorities of development of the village, directed work of deputies on improvement of life of peasants.

Culture home repair in the village Cuckoo proceeds, gas is brought to it. Toys in kindergarten are bought, the program School bus works.
Annually in the area competition Person of year is held, in the nomination Best worker of local self-government of V. N. Bogdanov won first place.
Inhabitants of the Kukushkinsky territorial bulk believe that their villages will revive.
