MINAGROPOLITIKI COUNTS ON INCREASE TILL 2015 of PRODUCTION of MILK IN UKRAINE TO 20 MILLION TONS

The head of department of development of processing branches of Development department of the markets of animal husbandry Minagropolitiki Ukrainy Vitaly Pakholyuk reported about it at the IV All Ukraine conference Dairy world-2007 on November 29.
According to V. Pakholyuk, this indicator is provided in developed by the ministry by the development program of dairy cattle breeding till 2015.
Also the head of department of development of processing branches noted that the specified document assumes increase in a livestock of cows of dairy breeds to 4,4 million heads whereas for November 1 of this year it made 3,25 million heads.
Let’s remind that according to the State committee of statistics, production of milk in Ukraine in January-October of this year made 10,7 million tons that for 7,9 % below a level of production for this period of 2006. In only 10 months 2007 agricultural enterprises of Ukraine received 1,9 million tons of milk. Decrease in a level of production in comparison with the similar period of 2006 made 12,1 %. In population farms milk volume of production also was reduced by 6,9 % – to 8,8 million tons.
Minagropolitiki predicts production of milk in the current year in Ukraine at level of 12,3 million tons.
