We publish Kazimir Snizhin’s answers to questions of members of the Crimean delegation in this article.
1. What average profitability of production of meat of pork, beef and milk?
For today the price of one kg of live weight of pork makes 4,0÷4,2 zloties (1zlotyj it is equivalent 1,86grn). Earlier, about half a year ago, this price made 3,0÷3,6 zloties, and it was unprofitable. It is necessary to note that profitability of agricultural production during the present period is much lower, than in the 70-80th years, though we receive grants and subsidies. Therefore agricultural producers are compelled to increase output of products. It is necessary for farmer to have at least 40-60 sows, to contain animals on a deep laying. Having the food supply, most to prepare fodder mixes. The task of the farmer consists in minimizing costs of production. And only in that case production of pork will be profitable. Volume of production constantly grows that compels farmers to take investments. And each step of the agricultural producer connected with registration of documentation, costs money. And it causes certain difficulties.
At KRS cultivation situation already another. The price for kg of beef makes about 5 zloties. But thus there is a problem with cattle realization. We has in Shtuma one meat-packing plant, in which three meat-processing shops.
As to production of milk. 20 years ago, when in the area there were three small, economically weak milk plants, acceptance of milk was made at the low prices. And it caused unwillingness of farmers to make this type of production. Now milk is bought up by big milk plants, and the price for milk is caused by several factors: the content of fat, protein, bacteria and in volume of handed-over milk. In a case when production of milk on a farm makes 150 thousand liters a year, the farmer can receive a ceiling price for it in the size 1,0÷1,1 of zloties for 1litr. Subsidies for production of milk aren’t allocated. Profitability of production of milk makes about 20 %. One cow gives on the average 8 thousand liters of milk a year.
What livestock of cattle in your area?
14 thousand heads of KRS, from them cows – 7,1 thousand; pigs on fatten – 34 thousand, sows – 3,2 thousand.
3. What maintenance of a humus in the most fertile soils of your area?
At us in the area what lie on red glinax are considered as the most fertile soils. The maintenance of a humus in them 1,9 %. In the territory of the Shtumsky area a various soil cover. Srednyaya Square of one economy makes 35 hectares.
4 whether. There are cultural monuments in the territory of five gmin and whether are they additional sources of the income?
Are available. In Shtum’s territory the lock of Crusaders is located. Besides, in the territory of our area there is a Big Stone, symbolizing agreement signing in the Polish-Swedish war. One family which has roots since those old times here lives.
5. How affairs in the area with unemployment and how this question is solved are?
Around more than 20 % of the unemployed. The part of the unemployed goes abroad, the part – consists on the account in the employment center. In my opinion, this percent of the unemployed is a little overestimated. When you look for workers for repair of houses, to find them it is impossible. It is rather theoretical, instead of the actual unemployment. We prepare territories under investments and now we look for investors. Implementation of these projects will provide decline in unemployment in the area.
