On general assembly of ICAR – the International Committee on the accounting of animals (InternationalCommitteeforAnimalRecording) which passed in the Italian city of Verona, the state enterprise Agency on identification and registration of animals accepted the full member of this authoritative organization.
ICAR is the known international organization which includes 62 organizations from 48 countries of the world. Among its main objectives and tasks – definition of rules, standards and recommendations concerning identification of animals, registration of their origin, the accounting of productivity, a genetic assessment.
Members of ICAR highly appreciated the work carried out in Ukraine on identification and registration of animals in 2003-2007 and offered the Ukrainian enterprise the methodical help on formation in Ukraine systems of an assessment of productivity of animals.
Agency acceptance in members of ICAR became confirmation of that the system of identification developed in Ukraine and registration of animals answers the accepted European and international standards.
