During negotiations with landowners the government finally defined the list of actions for overcoming of consequences of financial crisis in agrarian and industrial complex.
The most painful question which is necessary for solving to peasants already today – payments on earlier involved credits. Proceeding from it, the government decided to prolong the current credits of producers with preservation of operating interest rates. The cabinet council will provide financing for the prolonged credits, the reduced the price percent – Yulia Tymoshenko told. – We sent the letter to National bank and we will address to it with a request that those banks which will prolong the credits to landowners, got support from NBU. In the government budget for 2008 there are 700 million UAH. on refinancing of the credits to landowners. The credits will be prolonged till June 1, 2009.
As of October 30, agricultural producers involved 14,2 billion UAH. proceeds of credit – it more than on a third exceeds an indicator for similar date of last year. The delay in return of the considerable sums becomes additional load of a banking system, however experts are sure that the regulator will stipulate compensation mechanisms to financial establishments from the budget
For its part state operators also intend to provide demand for grain – according to Yulia Tymoshenko, the Agrarian fund has 700 million UAH. on mortgaging purchases of grain. At the same time the government plans as much as possible liberalizirovat an export mode that landowners could obtain funds from international trade. In the government budget for 2008 1 billion UAH is allocated for financing of the mechanism of reduction of the cost of the credits for agro-industrial complex.
