Article is devoted to a professional holiday – to Day of workers of a water management, in it the importance of irrigated agriculture for our droughty region is visually presented, it is told about how the program of restoration and development of irrigated agriculture over what the Crimean research center of institute of hydraulic engineering and UAAN land improvement purposefully works is carried out .
Here, on 1str, information is widely presented: about development of wholesale trade, processing industry meat, about works in long-term plantings, about production of the House of sparkling New World wines and activity of the Crimean Fund of support of individual housing construction on the village.
The Crimean research center of institute of hydraulic engineering and UAAN land improvement warmly congratulates water business executives of the Crimea on a holiday – Day of workers of a water management.
We wish to labor collectives of new achievements, successes in area of water economic construction and operation of irrigated lands.
Irrigated agriculture – one of major factors of an intensification of agricultural production. Especially it is shown in areas with insufficient and unstable moistening. Irrigated lands of AR Crimea belong to a zone of semi-deserts of moderate belts. Here regularly there are phenomena, characteristic for an arid zone (thermodiffusion, condensation of water vapor from air to the soil) that distinguishes this territory from other irrigated zones of Ukraine. In a year 340-370 mm of a precipitation drop out, and normal growth and development of plants needs 800-1100 mm, i.e. the consumption of water on total evaporation in 2-2,5 times exceeds arrival in the form of a precipitation. Comparison only these sizes shows that any agrotechnical receptions directed on preservation of moisture in the soil (a boronovaniye, a mulchirovaniye etc.) it is impossible to compensate such difference, therefore an irrigation – the unique possibility to receive the big guaranteed crops of crops.
In the conditions of a drought of the last years the importance of irrigated agriculture as the considerable shortage of the major agricultural products – grains is observed, vegetables, commercial crops, fruit, forages is visually presented that especially affects animal husbandry production.
In the nineties the total area of an irrigation in the Crimea totaled 397,3 thousand hectares. On this area 50 % of gross output of plant growing were stably made, including production of grain made 26 %, vegetables – 98 %, forages for animal husbandry – 73 %, commercial crops – 100 %.
Since the beginning of reforming of agrarian sector of economy the volume of use of irrigated lands gradually was reduced. In recent years process of reduction of the areas of watering managed to be stopped and passed to building of volumes of use of an irrigation. So, for example, in 2007 the area of an irrigated wedge made 160 thousand hectares. And is nowadays planned to water 200 thousand hectares. Completely to use available agroresource potential of an autonomy and to provide production of agricultural production in volumes, sufficient for the self-provided development of its agrarian complex, highly effective use of irrigated lands and increase of their role in an economic situation of agricultural enterprises, the program of restoration and development of irrigated agriculture … is necessary . over which scientists of the Center now work.
Implementation of the program will allow to restore base of the guaranteed and stable production of agricultural production in the Crimea, to create conditions for creation of steady food base of development of the Crimea as the resort of the international value, to improve social and economic conditions of rural population and its employment, to raise an economic level of agricultural production, and also to create conditions for improvement of an ecological state of environment.
The research works performed in recent years allowed the Center to expand the possibilities on introduction of new technologies in irrigated agriculture of the Crimea.
KNITs IGIM UAAN conducts design, construction and a complete set of systems of water supply and a microirrigation; develops resource-saving ecologically safe modes of an irrigation of crops; will convert DM "Frigate" and DDA – 100MA, completes the equipment for watering; adapts models of software for drawing up of business plans on use of irrigated lands, is engaged in selection of cultures and grades for effective housekeeping.
Century Lyashevsky, director of the Crimean research center of institute of hydraulic engineering and land improvement.
