In article conditions according to which seeds can be imported into Ukraine are reported.
According to the Law of Ukraine About seeds and a landing material (Art. 24), seeds and a landing material can be imported into Ukraine under a condition, if:
- seeds and a landing material belong to a grade which is entered in the Register of grades of plants of Ukraine, or by results of the state research is recognized as the perspective;
– the state inspectorate for quarantine of plants issued the import license of seeds and a landing material;
– seeds and a landing material have the certificate of conformity; the fytosanitory certificate issued by state authorities on quarantine of plants of the export country;
– are intended for selection and research works, exhibiting;
– are accompanied by the certificate which confirms their quality.
Specially authorized central executive authority concerning an agrarian policy of Ukraine can allow import of seeds of a grade which isn’t entered in the Register of grades of plants of Ukraine provided that they are intended for reproduction with the subsequent export out of borders of the country according to international treaties of Ukraine.
