The new plant constructed in a valley Hefer, started to make an electricity from manure and other organic waste.
As the Israeli newspaper "Globs" writes, at the end of this year the power plant will already generate 2-2,4 MWt in hour. Its initial capacity makes 1,6 MWt/hours from whom 1,3 megawatts are transferred in a national power supply system, and the 300th kilowatt is used for operation of the object.
The ecological enterprise the Platform Hefer is located near to Hadera. It is urged to solve at once two problems: to lower pollution level that is inevitable at existence in the settlement of 12 thousand dairy cows, and also to give so necessary electric power which daily receive from 600 tons of manure.
