In this article we come back to a subject Vietnamese lop-eared (still them call Korean, Chinese or braziers) pigs in which rural dwellers more and more are interested. Today how to look after the pigs acquired in the market or from hands.
First of all we will notice that the Vietnamese breed of pigs not only not choosy to sterns and early, but also differs solid fertility. For one farrow the uterus, under appropriate conditions, gives birth to 20 and more pigs, and for a year – 40-50. One more advantage of pigs of this breed – they are capable to reproduction at the age of 4-5 months. The sow can be used till 30 years. Three-year experience confirms that the sow is older, the bigger quantity and is better quality of an issue.
In order that pigs grew healthy, the room for them should be warm and dry. In two days prior to receiving lop-eared it is necessary to disinfect it. For this purpose use chloric (5 %) or a svezhegasheny lime (20 %). Solutions should have temperature near 80oS. Besides it is necessary to use a quartz lamp (throughout 10-15 minutes).
The pig is desirable for washing up warm water with soap and to rub off. It is necessary to feed not less than three times per day with damp bourgeoises with boiled potatoes, yachnevy, wheaten, corn derti in water with milk (1:1) addition. Feed them still vegetable marrows, water-melons, a dining room and fodder beet, a grass, a tops of vegetable, hay.
In a week give to pigs a glistogonny preparation. In two weeks do an inoculation. Though the Vietnamese pigs have strong immunity, diseases at them the same, as at ordinary pigs.
Mumps from a kabanchik it is recommended otsazhivat at 2,5 monthly age. For receiving strong posterity to couple at the age of 4-5 months and that future woman in labor was it is powerful not less than 30 kg. To couple twice: the first time – after the hunting identification, the second time – in 12-15 hours after the first. For the second time to use other wild boar that assists receiving a strong issue and increase of fertility of a sow.
Diet for porosny pigs provide such not to allow their obesity or exhaustion. In 7-10 days prior to a farrow rough forages to exclude completely, and volume juicy and green to reduce by 50 %. During this period to feed mainly the talker from bran and a small amount of the crushed root crops.
The period of a porosnost lasts on the average from 113 to 188 days. In 2-3 days prior to expected poll especially attentively it is necessary to look after a sow. At farrows it is desirable for owner to be present.
The farrow lasts 2-4 hours, but can be stretched till 10 o’clock and more. In two hours after its beginning it is necessary for a pig to make an injection oksiticina (3 ml – for an ear). It promotes a fast farrow and clarification of a sow.
The umbilical cord is necessary for cutting off scissors at distance of 5-6 cm from a belly of a pig then prizhech iodine and to put a pig that didn’t catch a cold, under an electric lamp. If the farrow proceeds more than two hours, the baby place under an udder, without expecting the farrow termination. Weak pigs – under forward nipples in which there is more than milk. It happens that the sow doesn’t admit pigs before complete clarification. In such cases to each pig enter into the mouth "PIG-protektor" which contains a colostrum concentrate.
At three-day age do to pigs an injection sunferovitu (2 ml to everyone) and bite off two top canines.
Near a sow leave pigs by quantity of nipples. The others fatten artificially: the digested milk dilute half with water. In the first days give every two hours (at night – through three). Milk should be in ware without hurting half an hour. Before feeding warm up it to 40oS. About 7-8 days add rare porridge from barley derti. From 10th day start to give to pigs "starting" dry compound feed, use it till 45 days. From 15th day start to give well crushed juicy forages (apples, carrots, water-melons, topinambur), a grass in the summer and hay in the winter.
To those pigs that near a sow as from 10th day give starting compound feed and boiled water but so that the sow didn’t use it.
