In this article leadership of Ukraine on export of honey to European Union is predicted.
Soon Ukraine can enter into the three of the greatest exporters of honey in European Union, thereby having pressed present leaders – China and Argentina.
The present next competitor of Ukraine on production of honey - Russia, having big own needs for this production, it is not interested yet in active expansion to the west.
According to the director general of the Ukrainian agrarian confederation Alex Lissitsi, today the Ukrainian honey is presented in Poland and Germany, however in volumes insignificant. This production is delivered to Europe through Poland and more often the Ukrainian label change on Polish, that is the Ukrainian honey is on sale under the Polish labels. Now Ukraine is included into the five of the greatest global manufacturers of honey with volume of production about 50 thousand t.
