Many truck farmers know fizalis only as the Chinese small lamps – traditional decorative culture. However exist vegetable and berry fizalisy which cultivate for the sake of edible fruits.
Fruits vegetable and berry fizalisov differ the balanced ratio of organic acids and sugars, are rich with vitamin C, contain tannic and zheliruyushchy substances. At them there are natural antioxidants, they connect and remove heavy metals and other harmful substances from an organism. Fizalis possesses to urine – and zhelchegonny, styptic and soothing properties. There is an opinion that the use fresh fizalisa promotes decrease in sugar in blood, and also reduces probability of development of cancer cages.
Types and grades fizalisa with edible fruits are presented by two groups: South American and Mexican (vegetable).
To group of the South American types carry berry fizalisy with small sweet fragrant fruits. It fizalis strawberry and fizalis Peruvian. They being self-pollinated, exacting to heat. Their seeds grow at temperature not below 200S.
Fizalis Mexican (vegetable) is more fruitful and less exacting to heat, than fizalisy the South American group. Plant nasekomoopylyaemy, good melliferous herb. Fizalis Mexican – the most holodostoyky paslenovy culture. Perfectly breeds self-sowing. Seeds in the soil well winter and give in the spring amicable shoots.
How to grow up. Fizalis – a plant unpretentious also grows on all types of soils, except sour (rN 4,5 and below). Big crops receive on friable, pure soils from weeds with enough of nutrients. The site should be well shined. Optimum humidity of the soil for this culture of 55-60 % of the smallest moisture capacity, in infructescence – 70-80 %. Excess of moisture in the soil in flowering leads to excessive growth of leaves, pollination thus worsens and productivity decreases. Relative humidity of air – 50-60 %.
The best predecessors fizalisa – pumpkin, cabbage, bean cultures and root crops. It is not necessary to land it after potatoes, tobacco, pepper and an eggplant as they have general diseases. On a former place fizalis return not earlier than in 3-4 years.
Soil preparation. The soil under fizalis prepare in the same way, as under a tomato. Under spring perekopku introduce humus or compost and mineral fertilizers. On poor soils bring a humus or compost bucket on 1m2. To use fresh manure it is impossible: it strengthens growth of vegetative weight to the detriment of fructification. From mineral fertilizers bring superphosphate and potassium chloride, respectively, 10-20 and 40-50 g on 1m2.
