Herbs and from crisis don’t bend

In correspondence it is a question about To (F) X "Agropartner" which along with cultivation grain is engaged also in long-term herbs in a mix with a wheat grass beskornevishchny.

Anatoly Kichatov before reforming of agrarian sector worked as the main agriculturist of collective farm of a name of Kalinin of the Krasnogvardeysky area. Big crops of grain, commercial and other crops, the high standard of farming – here Anatoly Aleksandrovich’s sphere of action in the past.

But he was engaged in all this on the public earth and when farmer movement began, decided to try the forces and knowledge, having organized the To (F) X "Agropartner". Today along with cultivation grain, it was fond also of long-term herbs, the farmer grows up them in a mix with a wheat grass bezkornevishchny. The farmer considers that expansion of the areas under this culture can play a big role in preservation of our lands and serve as good help in providing with sterns of animals.

In development of collective-farm and state-farm system up to the sixtieth years of last century in our country the travopolny system of agriculture prospered. She played the positive role in agriculture formation.

Passed years, the science improved technologies of farming. However the peasant which economic condition now thoroughly costs at the crossroads: to be engaged in long-term herbs or not? I am personally convinced that long-term herbs can become now the important lever in managing. And that is why! Sow them once for 5-6 years of what to sow – a lucerne, esparcet cereals or a wheat grass bezkornevishchny. Thus single expenses approximately same, as well as on cultivation grain, but grain sow every year, and long-term herbs – in 5-6 years.

Long-term herbs and on a sales market of the fodder are demanded, so to grow up them favourably. And still, the soil under them isn’t exhausted, and, on the contrary enriched with nutrients, its microflora changes. This most puts potential for productive use of the earth in the future.

During reforming of agrarian sector there were in Ukraine many thrown not used lands. And if agroformations with the active help of the state assumed the obligation to sow these lands long-term herbs, it would become the real rescue for our lands. Possessing such wealth, Ukraine really would become independent of other countries, so free.

In a steppe zone of the Crimea quite good result, in my opinion and experience, gives crops long-term travosmesy (lucernes, esparceta, a wheat grass bezkornevishchny). It allows to use crops till 6-7 years: on hay, seeds, senazh, pastures. On a waterless valley it is guaranteed possible to receive two hay crops in July-August if will pass rains it is possible to count on the third hay crop.

And still the important party – economy of means. The first crop on hay we mow on May 10-15, generally esparcet. The second hay crop – in 40 days – a lucerne (it is possible to use on seeds). The third hay crop a lucerne + bezkornevishchny + esparcet and the last – to the late fall this site can be used a wheat grass as a pasture.

Some words about a wheat grass bezkornevishchny. It is cereal long-term culture zasuxostojchiva, it is undemanding to moisture.

It can be grown up in those places where there is a continuous flooding – near a rate, channels. In these conditions esparcet and a lucerne don’t maintain, and the wheat grass bezkornevishchny well feels.

Unfortunately, in seed farming of this culture in recent years practically aren’t engaged. Everything is more difficult to find seeds, both in the Crimea, and on the southeast of Ukraine. In the economy I not grow up the first year seeds, including a wheat grass bezkornevishchevy. And willingly I will impart experience.
