The description of a new selection grade of the apple-tree is provided in article, differing by a skoroplodnost, high productivity and good winter hardiness.

It is the new selection grade of an apple-tree received by crops of seeds from free pollination of Pepinka Litovskoy. (possibly, Wagner Prizovoye’s grade) was fatherly. The new grade is allocated with a skoroplodnost, high productivity, dessert qualities of fruits, good winter hardiness and tolerance to parshe and mealy dew.
Tree small with dense roundish krone. At eleven-year age its height in Steppe office of the Nikitsky botanical garden at an inoculation on M 9 reached 2,3 m. And it is convenient both for care of a tree, and for harvesting.
In fructification of Minks enters for the third year after landing a garden the coeval. Productivity accrues quickly. For the fourth year the average crop reaches 9 kg/villages, and to ten years’ age – to 33 kg/villages. The same skoroplodnost at it at an inoculation on M 106. Therefore cultivation of this grade on srednerosly stocks allows to refuse lane use that essentially reduces capital expenditure at a laying of a garden. Fruits take place on simple and difficult kolchatka, fruit twigs.
Eleven years of studying of this grade in Steppe office of the Nikitsky botanical garden confirmed high productivity: he became a leader among thirty tested grades, having exceeded efficiency even such popular grade as Simirenko’s Rennet, well transferred a drought of 2001.

For the last 20 years when winter air temperatures in Steppe office sometimes fell to – 28oS, Minks wintered without damages. Moreover, he safely transferred 40-degree frosts to winter of 2006-07 in the north of the Kharkov area.
The demountable maturity of fruits at this grade comes in the second half of September, consumer – since October. Form their flat and roundish. Average weight – about 200 g. A thin skin smooth, dry with small hardly noticeable hypodermic points. Appearance very attractive. On a golden-yellow background almost on all fruit the bright crimson-red flush spreads. Saucer small, narrow. Funnel deep. Pulp cream, gentle, very juicy, coarse-grained, excellent dessert taste. A tasting assessment – 4,7 points. The content of solids makes 13,7 %, sugars – 11,0 %, acids – 0,31 %, vitamin C – 5,9/100 g. Fruits are stored in usual conditions till February.
Minks it is zoned in Moldova, it is registered in Gossortsluzhbe on protection of the rights to grades of plants of Ukraine, successfully passed production test in agrofirm Friendship of the People of the Krasnogvardeysky region of the Crimea. All this speaks about good prospects of its cultivation in Ukraine.
