In the publication "Askaniya-Nova" is a question of development and manufacturing of prototypes of milking machines for sheep specialists of the Zaporozhye institute of mechanization of animal husbandry and Institute of animal husbandry of steppe areas of M. V. Ivanov. The short technical characteristics of UDO installations – 2-1 and "Askaniya" is given. Both installations small-sized, compact, mobile, provide reliable fixing, fast milking of animals and rational labor organization of cattle breeders.

Efficiency of sheep breeding depends on many factors one of which is cultivation of ewes as doyny animals with the subsequent processing of milk on cheese and sheep cheese. The exit of this branch from the crisis created in recent years considerably sees in revival of milking of ewes in farms in which the share of sheep milk and products of its processing in total amount of realization of production makes 38,5 %.
Process of milking of animals labor-consuming also demands considerable expenses of work and appliances. Until recently the industry of Ukraine didn’t let out milking machines for sheep.
To solve this problem specialists of the Zaporozhye Institute of mechanization of animal husbandry and Institute of animal husbandry of steppe areas of M. V. Ivanov Askaniya – Nova undertook. They developed and made prototypes of milking machines for sheep on two and one production place. Novelties passed test in Is southern – the Ukrainian branch of UKRNDIPVT
of. L.Pogorelogo. They are intended for mechanization of process of milking of sheep on the electrified pastures and in sheep-folds in the conditions of farms with a livestock of doyny herd to 100 heads.
The UDO milking machine – 2-1 Institute of mechanization of animal husbandry of UAAN consists of the moving circular platform, two individual machines through passage (on one postavochny place everyone), prefixes for input and output of the animals, two feeding troughs placed on one in each machine, entrance and target ladders, the milking machine of production of JSC Bratslav in structure: the milking machine, the vacuum unit, a vacuum drive with the monitoring system and regulations of vacuum pressure and a starting prefix.
The Askany milking machine represents a framework of a welded design from kutikovy open company – became 30×30 mm and a rod section of 12 mm.
On a framework on an axis the rotary platform on which the driving machine with a feeding trough is mounted is established. In a back part of a framework the immovable machine with P – a similar clamp and a prutkovy fencing is placed. From sides movable and immovable machines are closed by walls from sheet steel. For designation of quantity and visual quality of nadoyenny milk from each ewe the intermediate capacity is provided, and the bunker batcher established on an immovable feeding trough provides the dosed-out delivery konckormov to sheep during their milking. "Askaniya’s" structure also includes the milking machine of production of JSC Bratslav.

By tests it is established that these milking machines provide reliable performance of engineering procedure of milking. By Travmirovaniye of ewes because of milking machines it is excluded. Offices of JSC Bratslav which are included into their structure, provide a necessary mode of milking of sheep: vacuum within 35-40 kPas. Frequency of pulsations – 100-120 steps in minute, a ratio of steps – 1:1. Average duration of milking of one ewe – 0,9-1 minute.
Both installations small-sized, compact, mobile, provide reliable fixing, fast milking of animals and rational labor organization of cattle breeders.
