The newspaper continues to publish materials about followers of wine-grower Mikhail Vlasov known in the Crimea. This time in a selection it is told about Alexander and Lese Vovk from Skvortsovo’s village of the Simferopol area which, making use of experience of the instructor, plant in the nursery in a complex steady grades and grapes hybrids, collected at itself in a meadow garden a big collection of grades of apple-trees, a peach and other garden cultures.

In August of this year Mikhail Akimovich Vlasov celebrated the eighty-year-old anniversary. To congratulate the hero of the anniversary, many years of life of the name which has given to collective farm of Voykov, and nowadays actively introducing not only in the Saksky area, but also in other regions of the Crimea in a complex steady grades of grapes, there arrived from the district state administration, relatives from Russia, the son with the wife from Sevastopol, colleagues with whom for many years in common lifted collective farm, old friends and, certainly, his young followers gathered.
When left a hall in which passed celebrations, before a porch the photographer already fussed, being going to embody for memory. Akimovich, having touched for a shoulder of the young man going by a row, presented it to me:
- Here my young friend and the follower, person Alexander Vovk betrayed to our business. Lives in Skvortsovo – the village well-known for the peaches, but is engaged not only them, grows up apple-trees, zizifus, pears, a persimmon and certainly grapes.

Sascha arrived to the Crimea from the Nikolaev area, married here, in Skvortsovo on local, gave them with Lesya the apartment behind which windows was small ogorodik.
His first garden hobby – water-melons. The photo of their daughter Tanyushka sitting embracing the striped giant because of which her head is visible only is still stored in a family album. And mother forever remembered what it was weight.
Showing me this photo, not without pride Lesya called weight of that water-melon – 19,5 kgs.
The companion, the conceded Vovkam the land lot under building, was engaged in a peach inoculation on almonds and Alexander asked to teach and it. Mastered. Was fond. Then it was switched to an inoculation of apple-trees, pears, zizifusa and, at last, grapes.
Vovk happened upon Mikhail Akimovich Vlasov Alexander on one of exhibitions of saplings. Got to talking: it was a question of stocks. Having listened to him judgments, Vlasov suddenly noticed:
- And you, the guy, think, our business understand not bad, it would be interesting to communicate with you …

Cooperation developed into friendship of two far on age, but very close people on interests. And result of this friendship – Alexander Vovka’s vineyard in which already is to two tens grades and grapes hybrids with the increased frost resistance and resistant against diseases. And as the follower was engaged in it after the instructor, it has generally in a complex steady grades and hybrids of two last generations. Now the instructor and the follower had a possibility to exchange a landing material.
Now in Alexander Zagrava’s collection, the Broderie anglaise, Atlant, the Gift to Zaporozhye, Timur pink, White Kokl, the Gift to Ukraine, the Kherson summer resident.
In what that it went already further the instructor. Mastered, for example, an inoculation and technology of cultivation of the imparted saplings of grapes. Now grew up Zagrava’s imparted saplings and the Broderie anglaise.
Alexander – the person fond. The spouse his Lesya told me as once he fell ill zizifusy. Years five "was ill", yet didn’t "hammer together" a collection from grades Soviet, Yadtszao. Tayandzao. In the beginning tried to impart it in the spring a shank. But it long, difficult and ineffectively. And here the summer okulirovka, in July, went well. And it is simpler, and the prizhivayemost is better. Mastered itself and cultivation of a privoyny material – seyanets zizifusa.

Right there a fig Dolmatsky, pomegranate Central Asian, Virginka – a scion for a winter-hardy persimmon.
… He conducts me on a garden and listening attentively to its explanations, I am convinced that it has not simply a garden, it is laboratory. Here planting of peaches, grades Redkheven recognized as Americans as Alexander, a standard, Harmony, the Son, the veteran explained, Gold Moscow, Erli-Krest, old long ago to gardeners known Kremlin …
- A good grade, krupnoplodny – I notice concerning the last, but with defect, fructifies only on the ends of branches.
- And how to regulate its fructification you know? – Alexander asks.
- No.
- At a scrap final branches at it don’t cut off, under weight of fruits they are bent, and on a bend new escape grows. This here which was unbent and now otplodonosil, cut off, and on new, gone to growth, the next year there will be fruits.
Behind clonal stocks for kostochkovy Alexander went in Krymsk to Kuban. There, on a skilled sadstantsiya, took VVA on which at itself in the meadow garden got by it on a site, located across the road from the house, imparted the semechkovy. For all kostochkovy, except sweet cherry, picked up VSV stock, and for it – VSL imparted on which it for 60 percent becomes lower growth, than usual. By selection of clones this keen gardener-researcher, created the genotype of a podvoyny material, undersized, with a good yakornost that allows to grow up semechkovy and kostochkovy without a costing much lane.
It and developed at us on the Crimean sadstantsiya applies a so-called pyramid. These are four yablonki planted by a square, connected by tops. They grow together and together, without an extraneous support, can hold on the fragile shoulders very big crop.
And grades semechkovy at it – multitudes! Here and very few people in the Crimea known apple-trees Dzhumba-p, Pinova, Elisée, Lodel, Delbat Estival, Mondial of gala, and known, well proved at us in the Crimea and perspective Byumand, Melrush, Dzhen Gold dekosta, Rubin is old, King Dzhonagold, Morens, Dzhonagored, Lazarevsky.
During a time when fruits ripen, in a garden at Vovka it is possible to admire surprising their raznotsvetiy. On one of trees it is imparted at it seven, on other – five and on the third – four grades of apple-trees.
And Alexander in the meadow garden showed one more surprising tree to me. On it persimmon fruits – Russians, Nikitsky claret, Goverla still hung.
- Imparted on it and to Hiakuma, Zendzhi Mar, but they froze this severe winter. However, as speak, bad result – too result. This winter, at least, showed me, it is necessary what to impart only winter-hardy grades and it is obligatory on Virginka. This cold-resistant stock well influences and firmness of a privoyny part of a tree.
There was time, Alexander chased through towns and villages Ukraine a gooseberry which is not ill mealy dew. Collected at last a decent collection: Pink pendent, Spring, Dessert, Neslukhovsky, Consul, Hero of the anniversary, Ruby pendent, Kolobok.
… And as farewell hello in vineyard row-spacings polyxnula large rubies of berries wild strawberry Queen Elizabeth. And when, having already said goodbye to hospitable owners, there were for gate, behind a flower border polyxnuli zorevy scarlet and honey and solar color two big candles – standard roses. And me it was remembered that here such standard, only not a rose, and a gooseberry and a currant saw at Vlasov on a vineyard.
It was thought that if competitors help each other, study each other, same it is magnificent!
