Radiation and diet

In a note recommendations concerning a food are made. It is specified, what products should be used for reduction of radiating influence by an organism.

The power supply system promoting removal of radionuclides from an organism

It is known that the more in food contains potassium and calcium, the it is less probability of inclusion in a metabolism of an organism of radioactive isotopes of caesium and strontium. Potassium and calcium contain in vegetables, cheeses, bean, sea cabbage, nuts and sunflower seeds.

Accelerate caesium-137 removal (and reduce danger of its accumulation) diets with high-grade composition of protein. It is considered the best radio protective product – sunflower in which grains very important irreplaceable amino acids of protein (methionine, cistein are found).

The special place is occupied by sea products. Squids, sea cabbage (laminaria) are capable to deduce radionuclides from an organism or considerably to lower their level.

In a diet the vegetable oils rich with fat polynonsaturated acids (sunflower, olive, corn, mustard, oblepikhovy and so forth), possessing anti-oxidizing properties (a dose of the adult – to 35g in day) are obligatory.

It is necessary to reduce amount of simple carbohydrates and to increase amount of difficult carbohydrates (honey, sweet fruit and berries). Honey well transfers calcium to blood. Difficult carbohydrates are a part of indigestible components of food – ballast substances and food fibers. They strengthen peristaltiku intestines, absorb toxins, radionuclides, heavy metals.

Pectinaceous connections which form with radionuclides and salts of heavy metals insoluble complexes (pektinaty, pektaty), not soaked up by intestines and deduced of an organism are especially useful. Many pectins contain in barley, a beet, a black currant, apples, haricot, peas, raspberry. A daily dose of pectins – 10-15g (by 40 % reduces deposits of radioactive strontium).

The minimum norm of daily consumption of vegetables, fruit and greens for inhabitants of unsuccessful areas in the radiological relation – 500-600 g and are desirable, that a quarter of this vitamin stock was painted in orange color, i.e. contained carotene (carrots, tomatoes, apricots, a pumpkin). Other quarter should carry dark blue coloring – an existence sign antocianov (a black currant, a chernoplodny mountain ash, dark grades of grapes). Antotsiana, also as well as carotene, possess powerful radio protective action.

Vegetable marrows, bush pumpkins, increasing peristaltiku intestines, reduce absorption of toxic substances. Similar action such products, as a melon render, porridges from bran, various sweet (bananas, dates, a fig, prunes, pears, raisin) and sour (oranges, pineapples, apples, peaches, plums, grenades) fresh and dry fruit.

It is very useful to drink svezheprigotovlenny vegetable and fruit juice, especially with pulp, and also there are spicy vegetables (garlic, onions, a horse-radish, fennel, parsley) in which there is a lot of fitoncidov, lizocima.

The number of the factors, capable to reduce digestion of strontium, includes bread consumption from dark grades of the flour containing phytin which is capable to connect this radioactive element and to interfere with its absorption in intestines. Follows, the truth to notice that phytin at the same time connects also calcium, reducing its contents in an organism.

Danger in food

And here gribochka (especially mossiness mushrooms, slippery jacks, govorushka, podduboviki) very actively accumulate not only heavy metals, but also radionuclides. Big sizes reaches radiating pollution of meat of wild animals and birds, and also fishes. Pets (their meat – the main source of high-grade protein), eating the sterns polluted by radionuclides, accumulate strontium and caesium in milk and meat.

Grain crops are characterized by low values of factor of transition of radioactive caesium on a crop.

Vegetable cultures on their ability to accumulate radionuclides can be divided into three groups: 1) with low values of accumulation – onions, pepper sweet, garlic, vegetable marrows, cucumbers, tomatoes, fizalis, bush pumpkins, a pumpkin, 2) with more intensive accumulation of radionuclides – carrots, potatoes, a garden radish, fennel, a parsnip, 3) with the highest level of accumulation – a garden radish, cabbage, salad, a sorrel. Radioactive substances the wild strawberry, a gooseberry, raspberry almost don’t accumulate; in small degree accumulate apples, pears, cherries, plums. To number of plants and the fruits which are not accumulating radioactive elements, belongs topinambur.

It is necessary to note that at the expense of machining of crude products (washing, cleaning) it is possible to eliminate a significant amount of caesium containing in them and strontium.
