Don’t forget to ask the passport on a burenka

In the publication it is paid attention of the citizens containing cattle, to need of identification of animals as the problem of safety of production of an animal origin is now very actual.

DO NOT FORGET to ASK At BURENKI

You love milk, cottage cheese, sausage of house production? These products, undoubtedly, often surpass the store in flavoring qualities. And, even if are received from sick animals … Leykoznoye milk, for example, on taste not to distinguish in any way from milk of a healthy cow.

The problem of safety of production of an animal origin is now very actual. Without new data on distribution of bird flu, on caught their people, any mass media respecting don’t manage today. Similar epidemics set the governments of many countries thinking on prevention and acceptance of appropriate measures to provide reliable protection of the population against mortally dangerous infections birds or animals can be which source. It is necessary to remember the history which has made a noise in the world with "mad cow disease", disease outbreaks a foot-and-mouth disease, plague.

The closest neighbors of Ukraine, for example, willingly get meat and milk only from the countries which guarantee faultless quality and safety. And speech already goes at all about notorious bird flu or mad cow disease: the territory of Ukraine is far unsuccessful on other, not less ominous diseases of animals which can be transferred to people: leukosis, tuberculosis, brucellosis, leptospiroz.

Infection of people can occur both at contact to a sick animal, and through various products: milk, dairy products, meat. The use of milk of the cows infected with leukosis, the onkozabolevaniya can cause in people. And the statistics died of bird flu simply grows dim before the figure showing how many died from cancer or tuberculosis.

Reference: the situation with tuberculosis in Ukraine becomes more and more menacing: over the last 10 years incidence increased almost twice, about 40 thousand new cases every year come to light, and the number of patients which die of tuberculosis makes nearly 11 thousand people. In some areas (Kherson, Nikolaev, Lugansk, Donetsk, Kirovograd, Kharkov, Odessa) incidence and mortality from tuberculosis exceed average values across Ukraine in 1,5-2 times.

So Russia is fairly concerned absence in Ukraine of effective control behind an origin, moving and processing unsafe from the veterinary point of view of meat and dairy raw materials and buys production in Hungary or in Poland where thanks to operating modern system of identification and an etiketirovaniye can guarantee safety of an origin of each piece of meat or milk liter.

Only under a condition if everything without an exception animals are brought in a uniform state database and are under continuous veterinary and sanitary control, it is possible to warn infection of people and to guarantee safety of cattle-breeding production. Therefore identification and registration of animals is obligatory for all owners in many countries of the world, including, and in Ukraine, and is an integral part of public policy in agricultural industry.

The system of identification and registration of animals is entered in Ukraine since 2003. The ministry of an agrarian policy of the country created specially for this purpose the state enterprise Agency on identification and registration of animals. As of March 1 1 815 million thousands heads of cattle is identified.

Unfortunately, many rural dwellers who for one reason or another don’t want to identify the animals, avoid planned veterinary researches, threaten, thus, health not only buyers of meat and milk, but also own. After all they can and not guess that their cattle can be the patient or is in the incubatory period of a disease as the illness can often have the hidden form of course and symptoms of a disease are appreciable only at late stages.

And after all just the greatest danger is represented by milk and meat which deliver and private owners which cattle not always is under the corresponding veterinary control and leaving sell. According to informal data, about 30-40 % of the animals going on a face, are sick. As to milk, in Ukraine about 3 million sdavalycikov milk are, and actually 70-80 % of all dairy raw materials are made today by the population. Similar small-scale production – on one – two-three cows on a family, doesn’t exist in one country of the world, and to check safety of milk without identification and, therefore, the obligatory continuous veterinary check, each (!) private cow it is not obviously possible. Therefore consumers should know one – all owners, which hold agricultural animals for realization of a certain type of production (milk, meat etc.) are simply obliged to guarantee its safety and quality.

Besides, according to Minagropolitika’s relevant order, since 2006 in Ukraine it is forbidden to sell milk and meat from not identified animals: realization of milk and a face of animals on meat, cattle moving from an economy in an economy, is authorized only under a condition if the animal is identified by two eartabs of the established state sample, and his owner has the relevant documents: the passport of cattle and a veterinary card to the passport.

So acquiring animal husbandry production at individuals, the buyer has full authority to demand passport and a veterinary card which testify to a state of health of an animal, whether if to it isn’t indifferent, of course, it will try today, or his child, tasty leykozny a tvorozhka or sour creams…

Reference: identification – process on an identification of an animal, by assignment to it unique identification number with use of the visual electronic and mixed ways of identification depending on a look and purpose of an animal, and also issue of documents: passports – for cattle and horses, registration certificates – for sheep, goats and pigs.
