The short characteristic of creation and development of May Day regional state inspectorate for seed control and quarantine of agricultural plants, and also about carried-out work as the staff of inspectorate is given.

On October 29, 2007 – the 110th anniversary of the State seed control of Ukraine
Seeds as started to grow up a sowing material long ago, in the very ancient time (BC). The writing of philosophers-naturalists testifies to it (Katon, Varon, Kolumella, etc.). And here quality them started to define considerably later after in 1869 German botanist Friedrich Nobbe created control and seed station. Over time such stations appeared in Australia, Denmark, Sweden, Russia and other countries.
The first control and seed station in Kiev in 1897 was formed by the professor P. R. Slyozkin – from now on and the history of control and seed service in Ukraine is conducted.
Date of creation of control and seed inspection in Pervomaisk the area is unknown: historical chronology in inspection it was not conducted. In regional archive it was possible to learn from filings of regional newspapers that in 1947-1948 articles Rule of storage of seeds, Approbation of crops signed by the Chief of District state inspectorate for seed control and quarantine of agricultural plants – Maydanyuka (the name and a patronymic are absent) began to appear in them. From the remained sheets on a salary, it is possible to establish that the inspectorate for seed control and quarantine was disbanded and in 1949 the May Day inspectorate for quality of seeds started to function. Staff made three persons – (Dubinin O. P.) chief, the senior laboratory assistant (Peshkov B.C.), younger laboratory assistant (Fidotova E.I.). Were entered unit – the agriculturist-inspector (Prudnikov I.P.) a little later. Na time of a season took in addition two more temporary laboratory assistants.
Inspection took place in very old building which that didn’t collapse, props from all directions held. There were three rooms, the equipment gathered on remains. From 1950 to 1952 Ivan Ivanovich Prudnikov headed inspection. From now on the regional newspaper constantly started to print recommendatory articles on seed farming – collecting seed sites, storage of seeds, about quality of a seed material, etc. signed by the chief of inspection.
Ten years Lyudmila Radionovna Ilyinskaya (1953 – 1963 hl directed inspection.), which began work in inspection with a position of the agriculturist-inspector. Alla Petrovna Martinets of the beginning the activity in kontrolno – seed inspection from the younger laboratory assistant (1958) and from 1963 to 1972 seed inspection headed. At its management the main frame of collective which honestly worked not one year rallied. This is Nina Ivanovna Belinskaya - the agriculturist-inspector – an experience of 16 years, Antonina Frantsevna Romanyuk – the senior laboratory assistant – 21 year, Sofia Nikolaevna Pashteryan – 26 years, Anna Egorovna Lisinchuk (Romanyuk) – 27 years – laboratory assistants. During their work the management was replaced: from 1973 to 1978 Alexander Aleksandrovich Tolbatsky was the chief. During this period it was constructed, according to the standard project a building of seed inspection, and in 1976 employees noted the long-awaited housewarming. The equipment set was acquired. After it 16 years Grigory Berkovich Feygenberg headed inspection. Then, after leaving on pension of the agriculturist-inspector (Belinsky N.I.) came to work as the main agriculturist-inspector Nadejda Ivanovna Ivanov who worked 14 years.
From October, 1996 to today heads May Day regional seed inspection Vladimir Nikolaevich Lipko who applies mass of efforts that the gosseminspektsiya met all requirements of today’s time. It takes active part in work on seed farming development in the area recommends grades and supervises a sortoobnovleniye accepted for our area. With arrival It is sticky Century of N authority of a gosseminspektsiya as the organizations much more increased. Vladimir Nikolaevich created strong collective to which in process of possible forces he creates favorable conditions for work.
Today in seed inspection 11 people work. Ten years worked in inspection the main agriculturist – N.I.Arnaudova, for five years – the main agriculturist on L.V.Denisov’s analytical work and the agriculturist of the I category L.I. Rudenko. Also honestly, with a sense of responsibility the leading agriculturist-seed grower of Items Kramarenko, the leading agriculturist on L.A.Fesenko’s analytical work, agriculturist-analyst A.A.Mikhaylova and the agriculturist of the II category O.A.Kodak work.
This solid female collective supervises subjects of all forms of ownership and managing in Pervomaisk the area in the seed farming sphere. Area agricultural enterprises directly are engaged in production, preparation, preparation, realization and use of seeds.
Specialists of inspectorate strictly supervise approbation of crops, cleaning of seeds, in due time check seeds in inspection, watch crops of seeds (existence of documents on sowed seeds is checked), carries out supervision over crops (monitoring) of summer and winter crops. Inspection checks of agricultural enterprises of all forms of ownership on observance of the Law of Ukraine by them About seeds and a landing material are constantly carried out. Seed and seed-growing documentation, compliance to storage of seeds, lot identifications to DSTU 2240-93 requirements, compliance of quality of seeds to available documents is checked. May Day regional state seed inspection constantly is ahead of schedule according to the analysis of tests of the seeds arriving for check of their quality indicators.
One of imposed problems of inspection – accurate control of implementation of the plan zasypki winter and summer crops the qualitative seed material, the zoned grades of high reproductions. For many years plans zasypki are exceeded. Except the main grain crops in area farms by inspection are supervised seeding and other summer cultures – peas, mustard, a soya, lyon, sunflower, long-term herbs.
Now in our area six seed-growing farms operate: state farm plant of May 1 (the director of Accusative Harchenko), JSC Kirov (chairm V.K.Melnik), JSC AF Zarya (the director of Century of Century Zaritsky), JSC SPP "Agrotekhnologiya" (director A.P.Savchenko), MChSP "Kresplod" (the director P. S. Kravchenko), SPK "Georgia" (chairm V.I.Hasitashvili) which are engaged in cultivation of a reproductive seed material.
At laborious work as area farms on the crop’s eve of 2007 were vyseyany high reproductive seeds of the best zoned grades of winter and summer crops. Winter wheat – Kuyalnik, Victoria Odessa, Lyon, Poshan, Selyanka, Odessa-267, Dalnitsky, Winter barley – the Blizzard, Rosava, the Basis, Onega, Mironovsky 87. Summer barley – Adapt, Pivdenny, Vakula, the Stalker. Peas – Demetra-3. A soya – the Phaeton, Solar, Apollo. Flax – the Debut, the Iceberg. Lucerne – the Summer lightning, Veselopodolyansky II. Espartseta of the sandy – Sandy 1251. And as the result around gross collecting grain group made 101044 tons – it is the second indicator across the Crimea.
The management of the State seed inspection of AR Crimea recognized that the May Day regional gosseminspektsiya carries out work at high level carries it to one of the advanced inspections of our republic.
