Annually, with arrival of spring, before each fan of agriculture there is a problem – weeds. What with them to do? To poison with poisons, tyapat a hill, to cover the soil mulchy? All these ways have the advantages, but at them one serious shortcoming – is a lot of heavy, exhausting work in a summer heat. Any pleasure from work on a site of people doesn’t receive.
Having tested all ways of fight against the weeds, many gardeners and truck farmers stopped on a method of a frequent podkashivaniye, described in one of books of the Kuban writer – the propagandist of organic agriculture Nikolay Kurdyumov. On this method all growing weeds are mown, without having managed to form seeds. Mow them in the early spring when weeds will violently go to growth and will reach the 15-20th. And so every 10-15 days. A slanted grass from a site don’t clean. Throughout a season, after 3-4 skashivaniye, weeds become not such nimble as in the beginning, manage to rise in time between skashivaniye to height the 5-8th. That is, plants already adapted to it a stress factor.
And for the second year in herbage there are already considerable changes. Shirokolistnye weeds on the most part of the area are forced out by cereal herbs. To mow them it is much easier, to do it it is necessary twice less often.
For the third year for 90 % of the area only cereal herbs already grow. Herbage height the 10-15th. Shirokolistye weeds already practically disappear by then. From this it is possible to draw a conclusion that emergence and rapid growth of weeds – no other than reaction to soil processing. Than more we will be tyapat and to dig, that weeds will grow more actively. In fight against the nature we never will win. It is necessary to look for "peace" mutually advantageous coexistence. Examples to that set: come into any wood – there are no weeds. Weeds only on fields where the earth is processed.
The main advantage of a frequent podkashivaniye that is created natural ekolandshaft, with a set of communications between inhabitants of the soil and plants. Trees and grape bushes in such garden will hurt much less, the consumption of irrigation water will considerably be reduced. To work with a chopper it is not necessary. To walk a lawn-mower of times a month enough. And all.
The only thing that yet isn’t possible – cultivation melkosemyanny (carrots, parsley and others); it is necessary to process the soil superficially. But these cultures on a site take very few place.
