WORLD PRODUCTION of WHEAT In 2008/09 MG WILL INCREASE TO 651,9 MILLION
According to an initial forecast of Informa Economics agency, world production of wheat in 2008/09 MG will increase to 651,9 million tons against 602,9 million tons made in the current season.
The greatest increase in production of analytics predict in the USA – to 69 million tons that on 13 million tons it is more than in 2007/08 MG, and also in EU countries – to 140 million tons against 120 million tons current marketing year.
By Informa Economics estimates, production of wheat in Argentina will be up to standard of the current season – 15,8-16 million tons. At the same time, it is necessary to expect increase in a crop of wheat in Canada – to 23,7 million tons, against 20,1 million tons in 2007/08 MG.
Thus, the agency predicts wheat reduction in production in China (to 104 million tons against 106 million tons) and in India (to 72 million tons against 74,9 million tons).
