In correspondence concern concerning possible death of winter grain crops is caused by frosts and in this regard the APP Crimean institute offers seeds of summer cultures for possible resowing.
In the Crimea the death of crops of winter crops at decrease in temperature of the soil from a depth of knot of a kushcheniye is lower – 140nablyudaetsya extremely seldom. However since January 21 in AR Crimea air temperature – from 20,40S to 290S sharply went down. On January 24 (data of the Klepininsky meteorological station), in areas where snow cover about 10 cm, the temperature at level of knot of a kushcheniye made near – 40S, on open crops it reached – 80S and below. Further conditions of rewintering can cause death and an izrezhennost of winter crops.
From such crops don’t wait for economically justifiable crop. The question about podseve and resowing of winter crops in various regions of the South of Ukraine and in AR Crimea arises almost annually. It is most actual this year when adverse conditions of the autumn-winter period set thinking on destiny of future crop and possibility of increase in efficiency of such crops. Sharp and long fall of temperature creates threat of rewintering and even full death of winter crops. Especially it concerns poorly developed crops of late term of sowing which went to winter neraskustivshimisya and with a small depth of knot of a kushcheniye.
For the maximum decrease in negative consequences of such weather conditions it is necessary for each agriculturist to know a real situation of a condition of the crops and if necessary beforehand to get seeds of insurance cultures.
