In this article the grades of a melon created on Crimean or at Dneprovsky experimental station of IOB UAAN are listed. Their characteristic is given.
ALUSHTA. Early ripe grade. It is created at the Crimean opytyony station of Institute of vegetable growing and UAAN (IOB UAAN) melon growing, it is zoned in 1989. A fruit oval, large, weight 1,2 – 2,5 kg, yellow-orange with longitudinal redkimi indistinct dirty-orange spots. Pulp beyoly, oily, gentle, juicy, sweet, with melon the aromayoty. A tasting assessment – 8,5 points. The content of solid – 9,6 %, sugar – 6,2 %, vitamin C – 14,8 mg/%. It is steady against mealy dew and gray decay, relatively ustojchiv to antraknozu. It is recommended for cultivation in Leyosostepi and the Steppe.
GOLYANKA. Early ripe grade of selection of Institute of the southern vegetable growing and melon growing of UAAN (1990). A fruit of a tupoelliptichesky form, yellow with orange spots, weight 1,0 – 1,5 kg. Pulp white or with a cream shade, gentle, juicy, fragrant. The content of solid 9,0 – 10,0 %, sugar – 8,4 %, vitamin C – 16,1 mg/%. A tasting assessment – 8,2 points. Fruits don’t fissure. It is recommended for a vyrashchiyovaniye in a steppe zone.
LYPNEVA. Early ripe grade of selection of the Dnepropetrovsk experimental station of IOB UAAN (1995). A fruit spherical, segyomentirovanny, citreous with a weak grid, average mass of 1,5 kg. Pulp white with a cream shade, gentle, sweet, juicy, slabovoloknisty, fragrant. The content of suyokhy substance – 7,7 %, sugar – 4,9 %, vitamin C – 24,8 mg/%. A tasting assessment – 7,6 points. It is recommended for cultivation in the Forest-steppe and the Steppe.
TITOVKA. Ultraearly ripening, holodostoyky variety. Vyyoveden at the Dnepropetrovsk experimental station of IOB UAAN (2000). To 50 % of a crop gives to the first decade of a plodonoyosheniye. In the southern regions of Ukraine ripens on 55 – the 56th day after shoots, and in the western areas – on 75 – the 85th day. A fruit korotkoovalny, yellow-orange or oranzheyovy with a grid, weight 1,0 – 2,0 kg. Pulp white, thick, nezhyony, sweet, juicy, gently rolling. Tasting ocenka 8,2 – 8,5 points. The grade is rather steady against a bacteriosis and a bakhchevy plant louse.
GOPRINKA. Sredneranny grade. It is created at Institute of yuzhyony vegetable growing and UAAN melon growing (1991]. Rekoyomendovan for cultivation in a steppe zone. A fruit roundish, orange with a partial grid, mass of 1,2 kg. Pulp white, juicy, very sweet. The content of solid – 10,3 %), sugar – 8,6%o, vitamin C – 1 7,2 mg/%. The Degustatsiyoonny assessment – 8,2 points. The grade is rather steady against mushroom diseases.
BEREGINYA. Mid-season grade. It is created at Dnepropetyorovsky experimental station of IOB UAAN (1995). It is recommended for cultivation in the Forest-steppe zone. A fruit korotkoovalny, yellow-orange with grid elements, weight 2,5 – 3,6 kg (to 5,0 kg). Pulp white, oily, gentle, sweet. Soyoderzhaniye of solid – 10,8 %, sugar – 8,3 %, vitamina With – 1 8,4 mg/%. A tasting assessment – 8,6 points. The grade is steady against mealy dew.
HOARFROST. Mid-season grade. It is created at the Dnepropetrovsk experimental station of IOB UAAN (1 992 g). It is recommended for a vyrayoshchivaniye in the Forest-steppe and Steppe zone. A fruit korotkoovalny, yaryoko-orange with a grid, weight 1,3 – 1,8 kg. Pulp white, sochyony, dense, very sweet. The content of solid – 9,0 %, sugar – 7,3 %, vitamin C – 18,1 mg/%. The Degustatsionyony assessment 8,5 – 9,0 points. The grade is rather steady to bakteriozu leaves and a bakhchevy plant louse.
The SAMARA. Mid-season grade. It is created at Dnepropetyorovsky experimental station of IOB UAAN (1983). It is recommended for cultivation in a steppe zone. A fruit oval, slabosegmentirovanny, yellow or flavovirent with an average grid, weight 1,7 – 2,4 kg (to 5,0 kg). Pulp white or pale zelenaya, thick, juicy, fragrant, sweet. The content of solid – 10,1 %, sugar – 7,9 %, vitamin C – 18,1 mg/%. A tasting assessment 7,6 – 8,2 points. The grade is steady to antraknozu and to a bacteriosis of leaves.
