When we are going to put potatoes, as a rule, we pay attention to its sowing qualities more and we care of the soil of our site how is suitable for this grade less.

Happens that we grow up that grade which could get once on a country site, from year to year, without reflecting at all that, probably, another would get accustomed here much better. After all even taste of potatoes in many respects depends not only on a grade, but also conditions of its cultivation. Therefore skilled vegetable growers try to select the grades which are most corresponding to type of that soil on which they are grown up.

Selecting a grade for future landings, it is necessary to pay attention at least to color of tubers – he will prompt, what conditions are required to these potatoes.

For example, yellow potatoes with a white or light yellow thin skin will be suitable for sandy soils and friable loams.

Tubers with a red or pink thin skin most of all love loamy soils, here they give a better crop which and to taste will be exclusive. Reddish grades are usually steadier against defeat gnilyami, as well as grades with rather dirty-dark blue or violet thin skin. The last are best of all for landing on heavy clay soils. If the violet thin skin is combined with yellow pulp, means, these grades are good for growing up on dry soils.

That it was simpler to acquire this knowledge, remember the basic rule: "belomyasy" grades are more suitable for sandy soils, and "zheltomyasy" – for loamy.
