On a forecast of the President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko the accession of Ukraine to the WTO will take place in June of the current year.
Today Ukraine needed to sign the contract on mutual access on commodity markets and services only with Kirgyzstan.
The president of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko predicts that Ukraine will access to WTO in June, 2007 and becomes the 151st member of the World Trade Organization.
He declared it at a meeting with the Ukrainian community of Romania in the city of Sigetu-Marmatsiyey in January, 2007.
In particular, according to V. Yushchenko, Ukraine plans in June of this year to become the 151st member of the WTO, and right after it work on free trade area creation between Ukraine and EU will begin.
The president emphasized that as of January 1 of the current year of EU became for Ukraine the trading partner number one.
On December 13, 2006 the Verkhovna Rada approved the last from the laws necessary for the introduction of Ukraine in the WTO.
The prime minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych at the end of December, 2006 stated a forecast that Ukraine will access to WTO in February, 2007, under condition of introduction by the Working group on consideration of the matter of General assembly of the WTO in this term.
