The American white butterfly (ABB) damages about 300 types of plants. It brings the greatest harm to an apple-tree, a pear, plum, sweet cherry, a mulberry, a maple, a walnut.
Butterflies snow-white with silky outflow, wingspan to 3,5 see life expectancy of a butterfly of 6-10 days. For this period the female manages to postpone for the bottom party of leaves of plants to 2000 eggs then perishes.
The butterfly in two generatsiya develops. The wrecker in a stage of a doll which can be found on shtambax trees, in fallen leaves, in the soil, in a packing material winters.
At the beginning of June there are nests of caterpillars of ABB of the first generation. At emergence of nests they are necessary for cutting off and burning. At the beginning August the otrozhdeniye of caterpillars of ABB of the 2nd generation which is even more harmful begins.
Actions for elimination of the centers of ABB provide careful processing of plants by the insecticides resolved for application in Ukraine.

According to the Law of Ukraine About quarantine of plants responsibility for performance of measures of fight against ABB is assigned on:
– heads of agricultural formations of all forms of ownership, owners of the land lots;
– in the cities – on heads of municipal services;
– within the aloof lands adjacent to highways, on heads of the corresponding sites of roads.
Localization and elimination of the centers of the American white butterfly is carried out at own expense. Transportation of podkarantinny materials should be accompanied by the quarantine certificate. The citizens breaking a complex of established quarantine methods of fight against ABB, are made answerable according to the code of Ukraine About administrative offenses Art. 105.
In the Belogorsky area at the beginning of June the centers of caterpillars of the first generation which were destroyed mechanically were revealed. The head of department of agrarian and industrial complex I.Metelkov directed attention of heads of farms, the heads of village councils to regional meeting to timely taking measures to identification of the centers of ABB.
