In the territory of the area there are three big reservoirs. Since 1938 the Taygansky reservoir, with the area of 220 hectares and capacity 13,8 mln.kub.metrov operates. In 1970 the Belogorsky reservoir, the area of 225 hectares and volume 23,4 mln.kub.metrov became operational. During the autumn and winter period in these reservoirs water, during the vegetative period lowered through a vivifying artery – the river Big Karasevka for water use of three areas accumulates. In Balanovo’s village since 1976 the Balanovsky reservoir, operates with the area of 45 hectares and capacity of 5 million cubic meters from which drinking and technical water in the item of Zuya and its vicinity moves.
From 188 ponds suitable for operation 24 are used for an irrigation, 81 – antierosion, 19 – stores of treatment facilities, 15 – complex appointment. 15-recreational appointment, 7 – for technical needs and 27 – for cultivation of fish.
Every year the number wishing to lease reservoirs, generally for a ryborazvedeniye and technical needs increases. Already in the current year 15 ponds in the area of 48,92 hectares are transferred in rent to individuals.
However, according to deputy head of department Alexander Ershov, in the territory of the area still there are 40 "ownerless" ponds a part from which, in connection with an unsatisfactory technical condition, create technogenic danger at high waters and a plentiful precipitation.
In this regard, Taygansky interdistrict management of a water management addresses to heads of village councils in which territory there are these ownerless ponds, to define for them balansoderzhatel and users. After all nobody can argue with the statement that such wealth as water resources, it is necessary to use and protect rationally.
