As of the beginning of December of the current year the square of crops of winter crops at grain and a green forage (without a rape) in all categories of farms of Ukraine made 9,786 million hectares. Such data were reported by the State committee of statistics of Ukraine.
It is necessary to note that this square at 1,8 % (or 176 thousand hectares) above a similar indicator of 2007.
Winter on grain in the current year the Ukrainian landowners sew on the area of 8,254 million hectares (+3,5 %).
The area of crops of winter wheat in 2008 made 6,5 million hectares that for 2,4 % below a similar indicator in 2006.
The winter rye in Ukraine in 2008 was poseyana on the area of 486,1 thousand hectares (+4,3 %).
The area of crops of winter barley in the current year made 1,266 million hectares that for 48,6 % there are more than areas sowed in 2007.
Winter rape in Ukraine poseyan on the area of 1,438 million hectares that for 6,2 % less last year’s indicator.
