In the first millennium the territory of Poland was occupied by Slavic tribes (a glade, vislyane, mazovshane, etc.). At the end of the tenth century there was the Polish state, and since 1025 – the Polish kingdom. On the Lublin uniya (1569) with the Grand Duchy of Lithuania the state Speech Pospolita was formed.

1997 (October) became critical year in destiny of this state. The new concept accepted at national level came into force. In 1989 the name of the state is changed – the Republic Poland.

Since May 1, 2004 Poland became the member of the European Union.
