Technology of the future quite often call the new, quickly developing direction in a science and the equipment, connected with use of microwave radiation in various branches of economy. We bring to your attention the publication devoted to unusual possibilities of microwave technology in agricultural production, the huge ecological effect accompanying its application.

The part of scientific community and experts of a national economy appeared not ready to accept those powerful practical results which are already received by means of microwave technology. But every year the number of supporters of this technology increases – both among scientists, and among production workers. At the heart of the new direction the effect of positive impact of a microwave field known to a science on a live cage lies.

By means of new technology it is possible to solve actual problems of many productions – to dry forest products and bricks, grain and medicinal herbs, to defreeze meat, fish, vegetables, berries and other food, to carry out bestemperaturny conservation, to receive food dyes, to take from vegetative raw materials the connections alternative yadoximikatam (so-called pesticides of the natural nature), and a lot of things-many other things. However the most promising direction is an application of microwave technology in agricultural production where big economic benefits are combined with considerable ecological effect.

Uniqueness and the practical importance of microwave technology consist that it is possible to solve with its help in a complex many problems of agroproduction, in particular, to carry out disinfecting of seeds, against phytopathogens, to raise them vsxozhest, stability to a drought and frosts to accelerate crop maturing, to increase productivity of field cultures. The new technology minimizes, and quite often at all excludes application yadoximikatov that more than actually in a modern environment.

It is well known that demand of farmers for a konditsionny sowing material is satisfied only partially because of what the considerable part of fields of the country is annually sowed with the seeds having lowered vsxozhest. The sharpness of a problem can be removed by means of microwave technology. At passed processing in a microwave field of seeds essentially raises vsxozhest at all cultures cultivated in Ukraine – cereal, krupyany, olive, technical, long-term herbs. After processing of sub-standard seeds of their wheat vsxozhest raises for 15-25 percent and they pass to the category of the konditsionny.

The most important achievement of microwave technology at this stage – substantial increase of productivity of field cultures.

Being based on practical experience of farmers – enthusiasts of the new direction it is possible to draw certain conclusions. So, application of microwave technology leads to increase of productivity of grain crops from 5 to 33 percent, leguminous – to 50 percent, a buckwheat and sunflower – within 12-18; a soya – to 28, vegetable cultures – 13-29 percent.

Experiences were carried out on forty cultures, more than hundred grades and hybrids.

The Rozkishne agrofirm from the Kirovograd area got microwave installation in 2002, and since then annually processes seeds of winter wheat, summer barley, a soya, a rape and other cultures.

In only three years of application of microwave technology the grain yield increase in an economy made 3977 tons.

The works executed in recent years at Institute of UAAN rice, allow to speak about prospects of application of microwave technology and in a risovodstvo.

So, field vsxozhest Ukraine increased by 8 percent, at a grade Antya – for 5 percent at a grade; the crop increase at a grade Ukraine made 12 percent, at a grade Antya – 10; at the plants growing from processed seeds, quality indicators of grain (a plenchatost, a steklovidnost, a treshchinovatost, etc.) improved

The microwave technology is applicable and in such important branch for Ukraine, as vegetable growing. By scientists of Institute of bakhchevy cultures it is established that microwave processing considerably influences on vsxozhest seeds and productivity. Depending on culture and basic data, vsxozhest the processed seeds exceeded control for 5-24 percent, and increase of productivity of separate grades reached 264 percent (a water-melon Borchansky).

Quality indicators aren’t less important. In an experimental crop it was noted: increase of the content of solids, general sugar, ascorbic acid, V-carotene and other useful connections; in 1,5 times the content of nitrates, radionuclides, pesticides and heavy metals that opens cultivation prospect by means of microwave technology of non-polluting vegetable production decreased.
