In the conditions of Ukraine more than 100 types of wreckers of grain stocks are known. The most harmful are 7 species of ticks and 3 species of myshevidny rodents.
Ambarnye wreckers are very dangerous to seeds. So wheat damaged by the ambarny weevil, loses vsxozhest for 92 %, a small mealy hrushchik – 53 %, the rice weevil – 75 %, Surinam mukoyedy – 25 %. According to entomologists one bug of the ambarny and rice weevil destroys for the life (250-300 days) to 80 grains, and their posterity in a year – to 1kg wheat.
Farms of all types of a property should sow only high-quality grain. The seed material delivered from other quarantine zones of Ukraine, should be accompanied by the quarantine certificate in which the fytosanitory condition of this seed material is displayed. All persons who are engaged in economic activity, connected with production and a turn of objects of regulation in the quarantine and regulated zones, production of a seed and landing material, storage and processing of grain should pass an order of registration, according to Minagropolitika Ukrainy # 690′s order from 21.11.2006g.
