A note about conditions of cultivation of parsley root and sheet. About properties of parsley as herb.
Cultivate two forms of parsley – root and sheet two versions – with usual leaves and curly. At sheet grades in the radical socket 70-90 leaves, at root – 25-30 are. Sheet forms, unlike root, form not a root crop, and the reinforced branched-out roots, ligneous and not suitable in food.
Parsley – a photophilous holodostoyky plant. Seeds start to sprout at 2-3 °C, shoots maintain frosts to a minus 9°S. Good harvests receive on sites with the friable garden soil. At close standing of ground waters parsley roots badly develop and are subject to diseases. The vegetative period from shoots before cleaning of puchkovy production of 60-80 days, before mass cleaning of root crops of 100-130 days.
Leaves of parsley are vitamin-rich also essential oils. They contain 2,2-4,9 % of Sugars, 74-125 mg of % of vitamin C and 2,53-9,64 carotene.
Parsley is officially registered as a herb in many countries of the world.
